The aim is the promotion of contemporary folk music and dance that responds to the values, in progress, of today’s society. In virtually all social dance environments, rules and roles traditionally related to gender are accepted uncritically, collecting rejection and misunderstanding when trying to modify them.
For this reason, in 2018 we took the first explicit step for the transformation of the dance, sensitizing the participants about the legacy of gender in traditional European dances and opening the horizons of those who are willing to try a dance without labels or gender prejudices.
During the festival we have a workshop called: rol, gender, and society in dance, discussion tables, concerts with games, and many more things in order to sensibilize about the topic.
